Sacred wedding vows for a partner at a church ceremony

Before God and this gathered community, I stand in awe of the grace that has brought us to this altar. From the morning we knelt together in that empty chapel, when sunlight fell through stained glass and we first prayed as one, I knew our love was a calling meant to be answered.

I vow to honor the divine image within you, to see Christ's light in your eyes even in our darkest hours, and to tend the holy ground of our union with reverence and care.

I promise to walk beside you in faith, to seek wisdom together in silence and in scripture, and to build our home as a sanctuary where love and mercy dwell.

When trials come, as they surely will, I vow to turn toward you in forgiveness, to lay down pride at the foot of the cross, and to remember that our marriage is a covenant witnessed by heaven.
